Custom Acrylic Keychain Planning Guide for Artists

An acrylic keychain project combines creative choices with a small set of operational decisions. Artists and small shops need to define the design, select options from the product page, prepare the correct artwork, approve the final version, and plan enough time for production and transport.

Define the concept and collection structure

Write one sentence that describes the project. It might be a single character, a group of related illustrations, a logo item, or a coordinated launch. If there are multiple designs, decide what remains consistent across the set and what changes.

A simple range table can list design name, product, selected options, file name, quantity, and status. This becomes the working source for both creative and order decisions.

Select product options deliberately

Review the choices currently shown on the product page. Consider how each choice supports the artwork and intended use. For a series, consistency can help the designs read as one collection. For a one-off business project, the specification should reflect the approved brief.

Do not rely on memory when several designs are involved. Record the exact selections for every design before upload.

Prepare artwork versions

Keep your original editable artwork and make a separate version for the physical product. Check the design near the intended size and simplify details that become hard to understand. Keep essential text and features away from the outer edge.

Front and back planning

If the product option allows different sides, decide whether the back repeats, mirrors, or changes the artwork. Label the side files clearly and include that decision in the range table.

File and revision naming

Use filenames that a second person can understand. Include the design, side, and revision. Archive superseded exports and keep only the approved upload version in the active order folder.

Upload and check the order configuration

Upload the intended export through the product workflow. Reopen it and confirm the correct revision. Compare the upload with the selected product options and quantity. The artwork file and product configuration should describe the same item.

Complete final artwork approval

Review the final artwork for spelling, orientation, side assignment, placement, and consistency with the original. If a client or collaborator is involved, collect their feedback before approval. Save the approved reference with the order details.

Decide quantities from your own evidence

Use information available to you: past order history, confirmed preorders, event plans, shop capacity, or an internal distribution list. Record the reason for each quantity. This creates a useful benchmark for a later reorder without making assumptions about universal demand.

Schedule production, transport, and launch work

Production requires 10 business days. Transport begins after production and cannot be estimated precisely. Depending on destination, Tracked Standard and/or Tracked Express may be offered. Your calendar should also include artwork review, final approval, receiving, photography, listing preparation, or event setup.

Prepare for a future reorder

After the order, archive the product link, selected options, artwork file, final artwork reference, quantity, and date. Mark whether a later request is an exact reorder or a revised design. Any revision should be checked and approved as new artwork.
